01 Feb McLeod CGC launches new website
McLeod Country Golf Club is pleased to announce we have a NEW WEBSITE. The web address is www.mcleodgolf.au. All the same information is there, and some new features will be coming soon.
The .au domain TLD, is a newer extension in Australia that allows for shorter, more localised website addresses. Traditionally, Australian websites used domain names like “.com.au” or “.net.au,” which required businesses to have an Australian business number (ABN). However, the .au TLD, which was introduced in 2022, doesn’t have these same restrictions and allows individuals and businesses to secure a shorter, more direct domain name.
Many businesses are starting to register .au domain names, especially since they provide a clearer, more concise online identity. It will eventually become the “standard” in Australia. While businesses are still transitioning away from .com.au, some are using the .au domains for branding or marketing purposes. Over time, we will see more .au adoption as it gains recognition and trust.
Our club also wanted a new fresh-looking website, so we made the change.
