22 Apr Free Active Women and Girls Clinics
What is the Active Women and Girls Program?
We have limited spaces of 40 across the groups and all participants receive a FREE Gift Welcome Pack.
Through Activate! the Queensland Government is committed to supporting opportunities that empower more Queenslanders to enjoy physical activity to improve their health and wellbeing.
The McLeod Country Golf Club was the only golf course opened in Australia in 1968 for women to play golf and manage the golf course. The focus on women and girls to enjoy equal opportunities in getting onto a golf course to play has continued into 2025 with designated tee times and events for women and girls. Men are now equal members at the club in playing and voting rights.
Through the grant from the Qld Government and our local State Member Ms. Jess Pugh, we are excited to offer this series of FREE come and try golf clinics for women and girls.
Our lessons will be provided by the McLeod Country Golf Club Pro-Shop run by the PGA Professional Drew McLelland, his team and some of our great women who love the memberships and friendships at the club.
