Wow what a lineup we have for you this weekend, leading up to our Australia Day celebrations on Monday.
McLeod Country Golf Club is delighted to present an outstanding weekend of activities and dining experiences, culminating in our Australia Day celebrations on Monday. With a full calendar of events designed to bring members together, this long weekend promises great food, engaging entertainment and the relaxed club atmosphere that makes McLeod such a special place.
The weekend begins on Friday evening with our popular Members Draw and raffles, a weekly favourite that continues to attract strong support. Raffles and the Members Draw commence at 7.00 pm, providing members with the opportunity to unwind at the end of the week, catch up with friends and enjoy the chance to win. Dinner service begins from 5.00 pm, making it easy to arrive early, settle in and enjoy the evening at your own pace.
Our bistro will be operating throughout the afternoon and evening, offering both our well-loved regular menu and a selection of blackboard specials. From classic burgers and pizzas to lighter options, there is something to suit every appetite. A range of icy cold beers and beverages is also available, making Friday night the perfect time to relax and enjoy the sunset overlooking the course.
This Friday will also feature our Trivia Night, which has become a popular social fixture at the club. Trivia is open to all members and guests, with free entry and walk-ins welcome. Registrations open at 6.45 pm, with the competition commencing at 7.15 pm. These evenings are designed to be fun and inclusive, encouraging friendly competition, plenty of laughs and an enjoyable night out for families, couples and groups of friends alike.
To complement trivia, the club will be offering excellent-value meal deals on the night, including a 200-gram rump steak served with chips and salad for $19.90, as well as a cheeseburger and chips option for $20.00. These specials provide a convenient and affordable dining choice while you enjoy the evening’s entertainment.
Members are reminded that club membership offers outstanding value, with discounts on food and beverages throughout the year, as well as eligibility for weekly Members Draws across most of the year. New members are always welcome and can join at any time for only $10/year.
The weekend concludes with our Australia Day celebrations on Monday, 26 January 2026. Members and guests are invited to enjoy a relaxed and family-friendly afternoon and evening at the club. Live music will be provided by Matt Jones from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm, setting the tone for an enjoyable celebration.
From 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm, the clubhouse will host a classic Australian barbecue, available for $18 per person, with payment accepted either in advance or on the day. In addition, blackboard specials and the regular menu will be available throughout the day, ensuring a wide variety of dining options.
Entry to the Australia Day event is free, and families are encouraged to attend. Bring your Aussie shirts and casual wear. It is a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy quality food, live music and good company, and celebrate Australia Day in the welcoming surroundings of McLeod Country Golf Club.
