Golfing Members are invited to tee off and compete for great prizes in the Weekly Jackpot Competition at McLeod Country Golf Club, an event that continues to attract strong participation from across the region.
Designed to combine competitive spirit with rewarding prize pools, the Weekly Jackpot Competition culminates in an end-of-week jackpot payout. The total prize money grows in line with participation numbers, creating greater rewards as more players enter. This progressive structure has made the competition a popular fixture for members and visitors alike, offering both an enjoyable round of golf and the opportunity to secure impressive winnings.
The competition is conducted as an Open Men, Women and Juniors Medley Stableford event and runs six days per week, from Sunday through Friday, excluding Saturdays. Tee times are available between 6:00am and 12:30pm, providing flexibility for players to participate at a time that suits their schedule. The competition fee is $17. Members reciprocal green fees apply, while Western Suburbs Challenge Club players are required to pay the competition fee only.
Prize allocations are particularly appealing. With a field of approximately 60 players, the winner can expect to receive around $130, with $80 awarded to the runner-up and $50 for third place. In addition, a comprehensive rundown extends prize payments to as many as 11 players, ensuring a broad distribution of winnings and maintaining strong engagement throughout the field.
Participants may submit up to three scorecards during the six-day competition period, providing multiple opportunities to improve their standing. A minimum of two players per group is required, and all entrants must hold a valid AGU handicap to be eligible. Prize distributions are finalised and allocated on the Tuesday following each competition week.
