McLeod Country Golf Club is set to host the Captains Challenge on Sunday 18 October 2026, bringing golfers together for a competitive and social day on the course. Designed as a mixed timesheet for men and women, the event welcomes golfers of all ages and provides an opportunity to enjoy a quality competition in a relaxed club environment.
The Captains Challenge will be played as a single stroke event, with a range of prizes recognising both nett and gross performances. The first prize for Best Nett is $200, while the second-place Nett prize is $100. There are also $100 prizes for Best Gross Female and Best Gross Male. Additional opportunities are available throughout the round, with Nearest to Pin prizes for both female and male golfers, each receiving three golf balls. An open second-shot challenge on the 15th will also offer six golf balls as a prize.
Entry options have been designed to provide flexibility for both McLeod members and visitors. McLeod members can enter for $60 with food, including a hamburger, or $45 without food. Visitors can enter for $80 with food, including a hamburger, or $65 without food. Golfers who choose the food option can enjoy a meal as part of their event experience, while those who prefer to make their own arrangements can select the entry option without food. Cart hire is also available at the normal Sunday rate.
