The 2026 Handiskins tournament final at McLeod Country Golf Club is set to take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026, marking the culmination of a highly competitive series of qualifying rounds. Following consistent performances across the competition, the leaderboard has confirmed the four players who will advance to the decisive stage. Graham Fairweather, John Hawthorne, Cory Jost, and Oliver Simmons have secured their positions as finalists and will compete for a total prize pool of $1,200.
Each finalist has demonstrated a strong level of skill and consistency to reach the Handiskins tournament final, setting the stage for a closely contested conclusion. Their progression reflects the high standard of play maintained throughout the event, and the club extends its congratulations to all four players as they prepare for the final round.
In addition to competing for the prize pool, all finalists will receive an invitation to participate in the Handiskins National Championship. This event will be held during Handiskins Championship Week at the Mercure Gold Coast Resort from 5 May to 9 May 2027. The championship presents an opportunity to compete for a national title and a prize pool exceeding $20,000 in prizes and giveaways. Finalists are encouraged to secure their place early for this notable event in the golfing calendar.
While the Handiskins tournament final represents the peak of the competition, opportunities remain for all players to stay involved. Participants are invited to attend Handiskins Championship Week by entering the Peter Lehmann Wines Golf Challenge, a two-round stableford competition that concludes with a wine skins final. This event offers an inclusive and engaging format for players of varying skill levels.
The organising committee also extends its appreciation to all players who participated in the McLeod Country Golf Club Handiskins 2026 Competition. Their involvement has contributed to the overall success of the event while supporting an important charitable cause. The competition proudly supports The Challenge Foundation, the charity established in honour of Jarrod Lyle, continuing to raise awareness and support through the game of golf.
Results from the fifth qualifying round are now available on the club’s competition leaderboard. This round produced another strong showing, with Oliver Simmons delivering an outstanding score of 43 points to claim the round victory.
As the round winner, Oliver Simmons receives a range of prizes, including a bottle of Peter Lehmann Portrait wine, a LEUK the DUCK driver cover, Bridgestone golf balls tailored to his game, and a $30 Sushi Hub voucher.
