Senior Ladies

Celebrating 30 years at McLeod

 

McLeod Senior Ladies would like to invite you to come and join your peers in playing the wonderful game of golf each Monday in a friendly supportive environment. Senior Ladies are anyone over the age of 50 with a current GA handicap. We have in excess of 181 members and consistently attract a field of around 80 players each week, and can be as high as 120. Our competitions run from mid- January to the end of November.

 

Eligibility for membership to Senior Ladies is financial membership of McLeod Country Golf Club and aged over 50 with a current WGA handicap. The age range of the club is 50 to over 90, with golf handicaps spanning from 4 – 45, so everyone is included. We welcome new golfers and Gateway members. The annual membership fee is just $10 and this can be paid with the Starter before your first game.

 

The purpose of the Club is to uphold the tradition, etiquette, sportsmanship and companionship of the game. It is indeed a wonderful club of women golfers who share the joys and frustration of golf, build exceptional friendships and give support that extends beyond the golf course.

Dress standards for members and visitors to the McLeod Country golf club will be enforced. All club users are expected to maintain a suitable dress standard both on the course and in the clubhouse. In general terms neat, modest and clean attire is usually acceptable with the following caveats: –

 

Dress standards on course

All golfing attire must be clean, modest and in good repair. All shirts must be either collared or an approved golf shirt and closed footwear is required.

 

Dress Standards in Clubhouse

All members and guests must be clean, neat and tidy in appearance and must be inoffensive to others. Adult patrons entering the club after 6:30pm must observe night time dress regulations.

NOT PERMITTED AT ANY TIME:

  • No mens singlets or mens sleeveless shirts
  • No tracksuits/fleecy pants/hoodies or any kind of surplus clothing tied around the waist
  • No dirty work clothes or dirty work boots
  • No items of clothing with rude or offensive designs or writing
  • No bikies club colours

 

NOT PERMITTED AFTER 6:30pm:

These types of Sandals are permitted provided they are leather and of clean and tidy appearance and may be worn with or without socks.

Service maybe refused if the apparel worn does not fit these parameters or is judged to be untidy or is inappropriate. Admission to the club is always at the discretion of club management.

Senior Ladies day is Monday and competition time-sheets are open three weeks in advance. Membership eligibility: aged 50 years and over, current WGA club membership, and WGA handicap, financial member of McLeod Country Golf Club. The Annual Membership fee is $10.00 pa.

Visiting members of reciprocal golf clubs are warmly invited to experience our clubhouse and golf course amenities. To ensure a seamless visit, we kindly request that visitors provide proof of current membership and handicap upon arrival and adhere to our Club’s constitution, by-laws, and local rules. While reciprocal players are unable to participate in certain events such as monthly medal, honour board event, or Club Championships, they are welcome to enjoy social rounds by paying 2/3 of the green fees throughout the week. On designated competition days, reciprocal members may join in the day’s contest by paying the competition fee only, with a maximum of 5 games permitted per calendar year.
